Amanda has lived half her life in the dark land of the Horde and the rest in Sanctuary of the Host and it shows. She is used to the luxury of magic and the awe that humans see them with. Amanda walks with a spring in her step that inspires those around her to feel happy and lifted too. She is always smiling but there seems to be a hint of something dark underneath her demeanor. Some people say that she is still holding on to the memory of her family's loss.

|History|
Amanda Bishop was born to a Sycophant human mother who never told Amanda's father about her. Her father was a Host mage who loved Constance but she did not love him back. When she was pregnant with Amanda, Constance ran away from her husband and fled into the Horde hoping that if her child was a mage that she could give to them, the Horde would reward her. Douglas never knew about his daughter or what his wife had done. He looked desperately for Constance but could not find any sign of her.

When Amanda was born, her mother raised her telling her that her father had been a great Horde mage who was killed by the Host. Amanda was raised to hate the Host and as a promising mage for the Horde. Constance often entertained vampires in their home and allow them to feed off of young Amanda. When she was fourteen, Amanda was suppose to become a Horde mage but she had learned the truth from her grandmother who was a pen slave that Constance kept as her own servant. Wanting to know her real father, Amanda ran away and somehow escaped Manhattan island.

She found the Sanctuary and was welcomed with open arms by her father Douglas Bishop. Douglas never doubted Amanda's claim, loving her with his full heart. Even his son, born to his new wife after Constance left him, was happy to have a big sister in his life. her step-mother Laura showed Amanda what a real mother was like and loved her as deeply as Douglas did. They never told the Choir of Three or any of the other mages the truth about Constance. Amanda was brought into training as a Messenger in the Horde.

For years Amanda was blissfully happy with her new life and family but she desperately wanted to save the life of her grandmother: the woman that saved her life. She asked her father many times if they could rescue Sofia from the pens but such an operation was next to impossible. Constance, on the other hand, refused to let her daughter be free from her. As punishment, Constance leaked information to a Hell Hound pack about how to get into the Sanctuary and where Douglas lived. The wolves attacked in the middle of the night without raising any alarms. Douglas was killed in the fight beside Amanda as she fought off as many of the wolves as she could with her little magic. Her brother Lex and step-mother Laura were unable to fend off the wolves and were carried off while Amanda held her dying father.

For the past year Amanda has been alone, haunted by the possible fate of Laura and Lex. She has dedicated herself to growing in her magic powers so that she will never be helpless against the Horde again. Newly promoted to the rank of Throne, Amanda is hoping to finally have a chance to rescue her family.
